Graduating IT Programming Diploma from NSCC Spring 2021. Awarded Bachelor of Nursing from MUN in 2014 and licensed as a Registered Nurse. Worked Medical and Surgical front-line positions in both urban and rural point of care with emphasis on travel locum contracts to remote northern communities. Former Canadian Armed Forces Reservist in Logistical Supply Technician trade. Has spent the vast majority of my career working contract based assignments, being employed to acclimate new workflows quickly with new and unknown work cultures. Enjoys learning new things and never staying idle.

Fast Learner travelling to remote hospitals who have difficulty staffing. Working short-staffed with little instruction. Only one or two days of orientation to acclimate and learn the policies, procedures, and work flow of a new hospital.

Adaptability coming in to a new environment as a contract worker and building rapport with the existing staff and other contract workers. Assessing and learning company culture and interpersonal dynamics quickly to onboard with a new team.

Working under pressure in conjunction with paramedical flight team. Prepping critical patients to be airlifted to St. John's, NL in the event of emergencies in high stress situations.

Warehouse Merchandiser | Fleet Driver

The Brick | 2019 - 2020

Initiative in project planning. Planned and spearheaded returning our warehouse to status quo following a large end of season sale, with product no longer spilling out into the store showroom. Warehouse effectively cleared from the hall and showroom area over the span of two days and improving marketability.

Leadership in delegating tasks to staff as part of my plan to return the warehouse to status quo. Was able to maintain morale with staff during an intensive workload and high departmental turnover. Kept staff working on tasks that are within their capability and paralleled with my plan. Motivate employees to work when there was no extra financial incentive to work.

Mentorship by providing orientation to new employees above and beyond my job description. Training new staff during period of increased workload, being delicate in how to frame tasks to maximize productivity while still prioritizing employee retention. Was able to ease my warehouse managers job to continue dealing with more priority issues and not having to worry about training new hires.

Punctuality by consistently arriving to work early, having no sick days in a 6-month period. Commended by operations manager as an example of an employee who takes their work seriously and volunteers extra time to achieve the goals of the company.

Tutoring of my course peers by volunteering to stay late at the end of the day to help coach those struggling with the course material. Achieved top mark in Supply Technician QL3 trades course and was promoted to Corporal upon return to my home unit.

Teamwork working as part of a battalion in varying team sizes as sections in ongoing military training exercises. Often asked to lead small teams of peers or in which I outranked.

Integrity being trusted with heightened security clearance as part of Headquarters company. Key holder for various store rooms including live ammunition, weapons, vehicle fleet, and military hardware.
